I think my first post sums this up pretty well. As long as I’ve been around, I’ve always been fascinated with media: film, cartoon, anime, video games, you name it. When I became a Muslim, I found that I had a fresh perspective on these things, and I wanted to share them. There’s not a lot of “Muslim Nerd” websites out there, so, you know, necessity is the mother of invention. I hope for this blog to be a good balance of geekery and faith, because to me they both go hand-in-hand.
The Islamic scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan once wrote that we should be able to “convert physical events into spiritual lessons… [and extract] spiritual nourishment from material things.”
I believe that something is worthwhile if you can learn something from it, regardless of the medium is in, and even if it is a small iota of creative inspiration, spiritual reflection or intellectual pondering, then it is worth it.
Hey my name is Rhesa, i think your blog is very unique! The way you describe the film, games, or anything, and sometimes relates it with the moslems point of view. I hope you always develop this blog and post more
